Jennifer Firmin, Esq.
Principal & Owner
Jennifer was born and raised in Texas, spending the majority of her childhood in Fort Bend County. After graduating from Fort Bend Christian Academy in Sugar Land, Jennifer went on to graduate from Texas Tech University with a degree in Communication Studies, Political Science, and American Sign Language. While in Lubbock, Jennifer became very involved in the deaf community through her interactions with the deaf at the Lubbock Community Center for the Deaf, joining HOPRID (Heart of the Plains Registered Interpreters for the Deaf), becoming president and an original founder of the Texas Tech University ASL club, and attending services at Sunset Church for the Deaf. Additionally, she worked as a private tutor for deaf children and contract interpreter for events such as funerals, hospital visits, and classes. Upon the completion of her undergraduate degree, Jennifer moved back to the Houston area and went on the obtain her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law.
In 2012, Jennifer began practicing law with a vision to serve families and individuals by fully protecting their legal rights and assets while walking compassionately with them through the complicated process of estate and end of life planning. Jennifer is passionate about insuring that each of her clients walk away with a peace of mind and confidence that their individual estate planning goals have been met.
Jennifer is an accomplished public speaker and Texas state licensed attorney, focusing her practice on estate tax planning, end of life planning, special needs trusts, elder and Medicaid law, incapacity planning, legacy planning, pet planning, LGBT estate planning, marital property planning, trust administration, probate law, property law, and family law. She volunteers her time with Child Advocates of Fort Bend County, Fort Bend County Lawyers Care, Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program, and various other community organizations including her church and children’s school.
Jennifer now lives in Spring, Texas with her husband, children, and her opinionated but sweet rescue dog, Lucy. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys reading, traveling, paddle boarding with her family, attending her children’s band concerts, jiu jitsu training, and baseball games.
